Fantastic place. Would highly recommend to any couple wanting to spend a romantic weekend away from it all. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is wonderful. The rooms are spacious and amazing. The grounds and landscape are tranquil and beautiful. Really deserves the 5 star rating.
My husband took me to this place for my birthday, and wow they sure do make one feel special. The food is just phenomenal, with beautiful mountain views and a small waterfall streaming down makes it peaceful and tranquil. The happy and wonderful staff that go the extra mile.
I was spoiled by my hubby with a surprise weekend at Akabeko for our 20th wedding anniversary. What a beautiful place in a spectacular setting. Seeing that the units are far apart we had all the privacy we could ask for. The food was delicious and they pay special attention to all the little details. Special thanks for a weekend I will never forget. We are sure to return for me such lovely times.
I took my fiancé to Akabeko Boutique Hotel for his 40th Birthday, what a treat this place is! The units are located far apart which provides a lot of privacy with a beautiful view of the river to top it off. The attention to detail is amazing... from the restaurant's food, romantic turn down service right through to the picnic they prepared for us. Absolutely superb, will definitely recommend it to anyone seeking a romantic getaway.
We returned to Akabeko with my parents and the place was just as wonderful as when we first visited! This time around we played golf and ate at the hotel for dinner. The golf course was awesome to play and the food was outstanding. It's a lot more relaxing to stay at the hotel than drive back into Dullstroom for dinner. One can try the different restaurants when arriving and leaving Dullstroom. What a special place that has maintained it's incredible service and beauty!
I stayed at Akabeko for a weekend and it is by far one of the best and memorable places I have ever been to. The hotel is sheer luxury with spacious suites that are modern. The rooms are built along a river with breathtaking views. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The is a restaurant on the premises with exquisite food, the chef adds a personal touch to the meals he prepares- absolutely divine. There is also a spa with a wide range of treatments on offer. I absolutely loved this place and I’m planning to go back in the summer. A definite must see especially for a romantic weekend getaway.
